To celebrate its anniversary, Esmod conducted three-days-event in a row at Kosablanka Mall, Jakarta. It was on 27th May 2016 until 29th May 2016. I came on the second day of the event. There were a bazaar with alumni collections, local brands, and partners. There was also a talkshow, “Evolution from Fashion Design Students into Entrepreneurs”. And the speakers was the alumni of ESMOD which is the most famous fashion designer in Indonesia and is best in the field. They were Albert Yanuar and Hian Tjen.

I came late on the talk show. When I came, Albert and Hian was sharing their experience in learning fashion design. They said that, fashion is a rapid growing industry, you have to be very discipline and just be yourself. One of the attendant asked about how could you get inspiration? Hian said that the inspiration just came to him by itself. I also asked Hian, do fashion designer need a fashion stylist? He said that, if you were a fashion designer, you could also be a fashion stylist. It was up to you after you graduated you want to be a designer or stylist. So guys, if you are ambitious enough to learn more about fashion that is your passion, do not hesitate your time to learn all of things related to it. Consistent and discipline for doing what you love can bring success. For those of you who have a dream to be a designer, stylist, fashion merchandiser or anything, do not be afraid. Nothing is impossible and be yourself!

There was also an Alumni Fashion Show at night. It was my first time of seeing fashion show in real. Such a pleasure! The designers are Esmod’s Alumni. They were showing different kind of clothes, from children’s wear, men’s wear, casual, simple, chick, bridal, t gorgeous wear that is inspired by Indonesian. These are some of the looks.
