A winter outfit is always about a game of layers. A stack of 3 pieces, 4 pieces, 5 pieces, so exciting!
To be fair, it is up to you whether you want layers or just a jumper/sweater underneath + a jacket/coat/any other type of outerwear.
Today’s highlight is a colourful reversible puffer jacket from Farm Rio.
This jacket features a reversible part. You can flip the jacket inside out and choose which side you want to wear. Both sides have different designs, which I’ll show you how they look in this post. The jacket has welt pockets and a hoodie. A good option for rainy, cold weather in the UK.
On the first day in Edinburgh, I wore the outer part of the jacket. A combination of signature print from Farm Rio, the macaw bird, smiley symbol, and 4 stripes of geometric rainbow on the upper part of the front and back of the jacket. Playful and different!

To create an interesting layer, I played with the length of the garment and the different types of garments used in the look. Like on the second layer, I wore a sleeveless, cropped-length vest from Maped. The vest is a quilted patchwork with a touch of white, green, blue, and yellow, to match some of the colours in the jacket.

Move on to the third layer. I wore House of Sunny’s cardigan, with cactus and cowboy embroidered on top of the garment. It has olive green and muted purple colours, which I think would pair very nicely with the vibrant colours of Farm Rio’s jacket.

I wore a sleeveless tie-up top from Lazy Oaf as the fourth layer. It matches the look and fits well with the other layers. The outer layers seem attached to this top.
Another secret is that I basically wore 5 layers of clothing, and the very first layer was a black, transparent shirt from Topshop.

In winter in London, I like wearing thermal heat-tech. I enjoy cold weather, but I also want to stay warm. If I wear medium-weight trousers, I add thermal heat-tech underneath. If I wear wool or insulated trousers like fur or silk, I usually skip the thermal layer.
Like this pink furry trouser from Lazy Oaf. Not gonna lie, the trousers are warm enough and very comfortable. There is a lining inside the trousers, so the fuzziness from the fur fabric won’t bother you at all. It has a side seam pocket, which is a must-have in any pair of trousers. Go down to the shoes. I wore a boot from UGG. I love the idea of wearing neon colours, so I paired pink and neon green.

As I mentioned earlier, I wore a muted colour (from the House of Sunny and Minga London cardigan) on the look, so I bring it back again with a rectangular bag from Porter to create a sense of repetition throughout the look.
The other side of the jacket has this bright neon green colour, so I paired it with a more neutral colour for the inside. I wore a sweater turtle neck from Lazy Oaf and dark grey cardigan from Minga London.
