One thing that comes to mind when I hear Takeshita Street is Harajuku, street style. People wear kawaii-oversized romantic punk stuff, accessorising their style. Young people, or perhaps people of any age, gather together on that street on weekends to share and show their love and passion for fashion. It is like a runway street.
Something moved me when I knew that we (my sister, my mother, and I) were going to visit Takeshita Street that day in summer 2023. I also wanted to show my personality through the clothes I wore. And in a split second, I decided to wear something colourful with the Onitsuka Tiger sandals.
I opened my suitcase in the hotel room, grabbed this purple-orange bomber jacket, and yup, it does come with a pair of short trousers—a set. Hmm, I wanted this set to be the statement on my look, so I wore a black T-shirt from Adidas underneath.
Summer in Tokyo is hot—very hot. I decided to tie my hair up, put on a hat, and remember to wear my favourite marble earrings that I just got from the pop-up event the other day. One word: LOVE.

I am a fan of small bags. This cute suit backpack is from Loungefly. It fits all the essentials, such as a wallet, phone, power bank, tissue, hand sanitiser, snack bars, and a small make-up pouch. A lifesaver.

If you ask me, why bother wearing socks in hot weather? Imagine that look without socks. It is missing something. Also, the socks’ colour makes the shoes’ grey colour alive.
